Architectural and construction considerations are obvious concerns of any organization that is expanding, moving, and/or consolidating. Not as obvious, but just as important is the impact of technology infrastructure.
Companies planning relocations, expansions, or consolidations have traditionally involved real estate professionals, architects, and engineers throughout the process. They must now realize the value of incorporating a good technology plan in order to protect their investment. Professional technology consultants must be included early in the planning process to assure appropriate interconnectivity, proper allocation of space for the various technology rooms; provision of sufficient electrical power and air conditioning; and maximum efficiency in any new space.

Technology Rooms are the core of a company's infrastructure. These rooms are the lifeline for every company's voice and data communications. Rooms must be properly designed to minimize the possibility of system failures and downtime and the ultimate loss of connectivity and data. They are a critical element in all business continuity plans. Our involvement in the Technology Room design process will result in Technology Rooms that properly support the corporate IT strategy and business continuity plan.
We are key team members on a variety of major relocation projects. Our involvement typically includes developing and validating budgets and schedules, determining needs, designing technology rooms, determining engineering and environmental requirements, developing the cable plan, producing CAD drawings for all technology rooms and cabling, producing RFPs and bid documents, managing the bidding process, making recommendations, and project managing the deployment.
