Edison, NJ, November 13, 2007 - One of the world's largest software companies had been seeking ways to understand, control, and reduce wireless communications expenses. Since wireless costs have become the company's fastest growing telecommunications expense, the CFO chartered IT to better understand this area of spending and they selected ComSci to provide their WirelessVisibility™ Service. ComSci will provide the company with their Total Technology Chargeback Solution with the initial scope and focus on helping the software company manage, control and provide visibility into their wireless expenses, utilization and inventory management. The WirelessVisibility™ Service offered by ComSci entails a comprehensive package of programs which will not only make wireless costs transparent and easy to monitor; it will identify ways in which the software company can consolidate and reduce the considerable cost of all wireless operations. ComSci will deliver a streamlined account of wireless usage and costs which allows for optimization of rate plans, as well as the ability to clearly track and monitor individual and departmental wireless expenses.
ComSci will be receiving and processing approximately 6,000 of the software company's devices, including cell phones, PDA's, Blackberrys, Smartphones and wireless air cards, from three different wireless vendors' electronic billing media. ComSci's BillBrowser™ application, will prepare analytical reports providing key metrics and information such as spend per device, cost per minute, international roaming charges, and other wireless cost data. These detailed reports allow business unit managers to better understand and manage wireless expenses, as well as providing IT and Procurement teams with tools to control wireless costs. The reports alternately compile data for multiple users and departments and show individual end-user statistics, making it simple to determine the most efficient and cost-effective wireless plans.
