Edison, NJ, April 16, 2009 - Robert Svec, President and CEO of ComSci, LLC, a leading provider of Technology Financial Management™ (TFM) solutions, spoke at the IT Financial Management Association (ITFMA) Conference, "The World of IT Financial Management," held March 30 to April 3, 2009 at the Georgian Terrace Hotel in Atlanta. He was joined at the conference by Michael Siniscalchi, Vice President of Business Development at ComSci, who also led a breakout session illustrating ComSci's BillBrowser™ web-based reporting tool, which provides Business Managers with "One Bill" of all IT products and services and associated consumption metrics.

The conference focused on assisting IT CFOs and Controllers in reducing and managing costs, achieving transparency in IT expenditures, and aligning IT investment with the overall business strategy.

Svec focused his discussions on how companies can transform their static IT Service Catalog into a monthly production and reporting process that will drive visibility, accountability, and transparency into technology consumption throughout the organization. Svec demonstrated how providing business units with the details of their usage allows them better visibility into their consumption of IT services so they can control, manage and be accountable for their utilization of and demand for IT services.

"Creating an IT Service Catalog is just a first step in establishing true IT cost transparency," commented Svec. "People at all levels of an organization should know what drives their expenses, why they are being charged the expenses, and how the expenses tie back to the business objectives. The whole idea is to translate 'Technology‘ into 'Business Language' and make better decisions on the usage of technology."

ComSci will also be sponsoring and speaking at the July IT Financial Management Association (ITFMA) Conference, "The Financial World of Information Technology," to be held at The Francis Marion Hotel in Charleston, SC, from July 13 to 17, 2009. This conference promises to be the largest gathering of IT financial management professionals and experts from the business, government, and education communities, focusing on best practices in chargeback, IT cost transparency, and IT financial management.
